I have not slept or eaten in an ungodly amount of time, but...

... somehow I'm still standing!

The flight was long, about 6 hours, and I really did try my best to get some shut-eye... but the airplane wasn't very conducive to sleeping, especially with some British woman coughing up her left lung right next to me. She was about 2 decibels away from making the whole plane deaf. So I tried to lull myself to sleep by watching Vicky Christina Barcelona and the Traveling Pants 2... but to no avail. However, note to self - British Airways has really good food! I had some chicken pasta thing that was actually half-satisfying, and they gave us this apple pie slice that had some yogurt sauce on it that was actually quite yummy!

The check in process was annoying and horrible. Everyone's exhausted and jet lagged and starving and cranky and otherwise being complete jackasses to each other. We finally got our luggage and got our NIDO ids and got into our dorm - only to realize that my ethernet cable jack was broken and our door didn't fully close, let alone lock. Thankfully we got maintenance up here to fix those minor kinks in a timely fashion. But Katie (my roomie) and I were exhausted to the point of dementia by then. So we took a 2 hour nap before we were aroused by our fellow comrades, Katie G, Anthony and Genesis. We're just about to step out to dinner at this Fish 'n' Chips place for my first meal in over 22 hours. It will be the first time I've ventured out into London since I've gotten here.. hopefully I can muster up the reserve to not pass out in the middle of it.

So that is my London experience to date. Once I finally bathe and start living like a normal human being, I'm sure great adventures are awaiting me. Although at least at the moment, I pity any Brit who has to encounter my crass, exhausted and irritable self.
